Sand Dune Fun is abundant in the majestic dunes at the Oregon Dunes
National Recreation Area and Honeyman Dunes State Park including the
latest craze Sandboarding. Sand Dune tours and ATV rentals are available
at Sand Dunes Frontier & Theme Park which also features miniature golf.
Golfing will please the avid golfer who can choose between 2 nearby golf
courses, Sandpines Golf Links, voted "Best New Public Golf Course" and
Ocean Dunes Golf Course, voted "One of the Top 5 Courses to Play in
Oregon." Also you can take the kids to Avalon Park Pitch & Put just south
of the Siuslaw Bridge.
Mountain Biking and Hiking trails begin at 18 local trailheads, several
within just a few miles of your suite. Get trialhead and other local
information at The Florence Chamber Of Commerce.
Gambling at the Three Rivers Casino with free shuttle service to and
from Woahink Lake Suites means non-stop fun for all. There's bowling at
the Holiday Bowl in Florence, the Florence Cinemas offer first rate movies
every day of the year, and the Pioneer Museum provides fun and interest
for all ages.
Eating and Shopping in Old Town Florence, provides many restaurants
and shops to satisfy the most discriminating tastes. Try the Waterfront Depot
Restaurant near the historic Siuslaw Bridge, featuring an extensive wine
list, warm atmosphere and contemporary menu with Tapas style hors d'oeuvres. Another town favorite is the Beachcomber Restaurant, get there
early on Thursday night for the Steak Dinner special, a favorite with the
locals.
Souvenirs are plentiful at the Lakeshore Myrtlewood Giftshop. They feature speciality gifts made of Oregon's own myrtlewood and other fine
giftware.
